Install Beside, sign in and complete your profile. Turn on Bluetooth, allow the permissions Beside requests and enable discovery using the Beside logo in the app. Allow background activity so discovery can continue while your phone is in your pocket.
2. Go where life happens
Take Beside to a busy café, a concert, a campus or a popular walking area. Keep discovery on as you go about your day to give yourself more chances to cross paths with other Beside users.
Beside has the smallest search area on the market. Bluetooth discovery focuses on your immediate surroundings, bringing the experience close to the people you actually cross paths with. It discovers other Beside users with discovery enabled.
3. Find a familiar face, now or later
Open the nearby view to see who is around, or browse your encounter history after you leave. A moment you were too busy to act on can still become a connection later.
We do not add fake profiles to make your feed look busy. Your encounters come from other people using Beside nearby. Open a profile to explore their photos, introduction and interests.
4. Like a profile and start a conversation
Like someone you would enjoy meeting. When they like you back, a chat opens: your conversation starts with mutual interest and a moment you already share.
Keep discovery ready for your next encounter
Leave discovery on while you are out so Beside can keep finding new encounters. If you want a break, tap the Beside logo to pause. Your earlier encounters remain available, and you can resume discovery whenever you like.
